Duleep Trophy Will Be Played at Greater Noida Stadium


Duleep Trophy is being played in Greater Noida this year from Aug 23 to Sep 14 with 4 matches being played. The 3 teams India Red, India Blue and India Green are led by Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina respectively. Duleep Trophy tournament will be played for the first time with a pink ball and under lights.

The matches will be held at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex and the entry is free for all. The matches will be played from 2 pm till 10 pm.

The Duleep Trophy is a first class cricket league which follows test match format. This year the league matches will be of 4 days test matches and the final one will follow the international standards i.e. it will be 5 day test match. Pink ball will be used in place of the ordinary red ball and the matches will be played under the flood lights.

It is a first class cricket league of Indian domestic cricket which is played every year and this will be the 55th season of the league. Generally 5 teams used to participate in the tournament but this year there will be 3 teams only. Total 4 matches to be played, each team will play once against each other and after three matches, the two teams having more points in the table will play the grand finale.
