Oh So Stoned - Sinful Indulgences!

Dessert cravings satiated by sinful ice creams at Oh So Stoned!

Noida Diary: Oh So Stoned Ice Cream Parlour Experience
Oh So Stoned opened recently in the DLF Mall of India. A fancy outlet of this new entrant from Hyderabad in the shakes and ice creams segment is a welcome addition in Noida foodies' list. Their ice-creams are simply divine.

What is different here? The differentiater here is the cold stone ice-creams which are prepared on a cold stone or mixing board/slab maintained at very low temperature. Hence the name Oh So Stoned.

Noida Diary: Oh So Stoned Ice Cream Parlour Experience

It is first of its kind glacial stone parlor in Noida where the ice-cream is put on a cold slab, pounded and fused with innovative flavors and real desserts to get divine combinations. The fancy outlet has quirky names on its menu and offers delectable sundaes not to be missed.

The place: Oh So Stoned outlet is on the fourth floor of DLF Mall of India in the food court also called 'Eat Lounge'. The Eat Lounge at the DLF Mall is huge and the ambiance is great with their tastefully done color scheme and dangling lights. The weekends see a little more rush to this newest mall in town. So be prepared to wait for a seat. Separate seating is not available for this outlet.

Menu: Shakes, ice-creams and sundaes are on offer with such interesting names as Chiki Chiki Bang Bang, Tira Miss U, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and so on. Their signature thick shakes packs in a lot of variety - nutty, choclaty, minty, fruity with quirky names too. Like Mint Julep is a creamy chocolate ice cream infused with mint and chocolate marshmallow cake biscuit and topped with whipped cream and hot chocolate fudge sauce. Another one called Nutellicious is chocolate rich shake with nutella and fererro rocher stirred in and topped with whipped cream.

Noida Diary: Tira Miss U Sundae by Oh So Stoned, Noida
Service: The service is quick and the boys at the counter courteous and cool. It is a delight to watch them get your Sundae ready. The whole process is so amusing that I could not take my eyes and camera off the ice-cream boy's workstation. Watch the video on our YouTube channel. They are keen listeners too and ready to oblige for a request for 'more fruits', 'less cream' or 'little more chocolate sauce' with a smile.

What was ordered: Scarface Noir sounded quite an intriguing name for a sundae and the menu card read dark chocolate with goodness of nutella and Ferraro Roche blended in and topped with hot chocolate fudge. I was drooling already.

However this sundae was not available at that moment. So settled for Tira Miss U, which is an ode to the Italian dessert with a rich coffee ice-cream topped with whipped cream and dusted with cocoa powder and topped with a slice of chocopie.

The Taste: The sundae is served on a waffle cup placed in attractive Oh So Stoned branded disposable cups. The big scoops and cream sat on the waffle cup tempting us to dig in to it. But the chocopie slice was missing. The sundae tasted yum with a rich coffee taste.

Would I visit again? I found the quality and taste of the ice-cream really good. A little confession here, I found the ice-cream in other customers' cups very tempting with fruit chunks, various sauces and some had an overload of chocolate. So I will be back here to try their other amazing sundaes and shakes.
