Kids Cut, Learn, Play and Create #colgatemagicalstories

No one can deny the importance of creativity and imagination in child's development. If you have noticed, the current trend in education too is shifting focus from rote learning, memorization and studying only to get high grades in tests. The new age schools are beginning to lay emphasis on providing environment for creativity and independent thought. This, we hope, will prepare our children to handle the uncertain future confidently.

We believe in introducing kids to an environment for creative learning early in their life. This will help them bloom into beautiful souls and later into happy and successful individuals. What could be better than stories to ignite their imagination for a start. Give them some props and see how the imagination of your little kid flows and spins a story.


 
The new Colgate Strong Teeth packs come with interesting sea creatures and some trivia inside them. There are 4 different packs with interesting characters from the sea world for your kids to cut and play with their new sea-buddies. Kids learn interesting facts too like - 'Octopus has three hearts and can change color quickly'. The packs will serve as props for your kids to weave a story and unlock their imagination. I received these packs from Colgate and shared with my son how these could be used by kids. Later I asked him to tell me a story around this sea-world as well. My sonny is little older (ahem...a teenager actually) for  this activity and he gave me exactly (quite naturally) this expression, "Huh, you talking to me."


 
But with little cajoling he obliged me with the cutting work and a little story as well. It took me back in time when he was a big-eyed little boy and refreshed some cherished memories. Thank you #colgatemagicalstories for these special moments that bonded me with my teen-aged son in a sweet way.

THE LOST TREASURE

Captain Blackbeard

Captain Blackbeard is a brave sailor who rides on the mighty waves of Atlantis Sea. One stormy day, in an unfortunate accident, his ship is wrecked and his crew and treasure lost in the depths of the wild sea. The sea is known for many deadly beasts that crawl on its floor and have claimed countless lives. This did not deter the brave Captain. He sets out on a dangerous journey to find his lost treasure.

Billy The Swordfish

He dives into the black cold waters of the Atlantis. On his way he meets Billy the swordfish. Billy does not let him go and starts to fight. Captain soon overpowers him and negotiates to take him deep into the sea to his treasure. He tells Billy his story and his lost fortune. Billy becomes his friend and takes him to the spot where the ship sank. Captain thanks Billy.

Wish Granting Star Fish

Captain reaches the sea bottom and he is surprised to see the stars moving there. The star asks the captain, "What are you looking for, brave sailor?" Captain is astonished to see the stars talking to him. Then he tells all about his misfortune. Hearing this stars grant him a wish to find his treasure. Captain turns back, and to his surprise, finds his sunken ship right in front of him.

Puffy the Puffer Fish

Captain Blackbeard meets Puffy, a fish which swells as it is frightened to see the sailor there. Captain chats with him and makes him his friend too. Now Puffy shows the Captain the treasure. But Blackbeard is not able to see anything. It was very dark down there. 

Octy the Octopus

Puffy asks Octy, the Octopus, to show up. Octy turns color and now everything is clear. Underneath Octy the octopus is the chest of lost treasure. Captain tells Octy his story and makes him his friend too. Octy agrees to give him his treasure back with a promise that Captain will do good things with this treasure. Captain Blackbeard promises Octy and thank him as well. Billy takes Captain back to the surface after bidding goodbye to his new sea friends.
