Changing the law is not enough, society per se needs to change its mind set for a long lasting solution. One such step taken by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is worth mentioning. CISF declared 2013 as 'the year of safety and security of women'. CISF organised a gender-sensitivity workshop with discussions on “Gender sensitization – challenges ahead and the mechanism to cope with them”, and “Dealing with sexual harassment at the workplace”. Very rightly Mamta Sharma, Chairperson, national Commission for Women (NCW) in her address urged the necessity of such workshops be conducted at school and college levels.
