Rains bring the much needed breather for Noidawallahs from the unrelenting summer. The skies played out beautiful shades of grey getting denser by the minute. Have a dekko at the overcast skies in Noida here. Finally the rain washed away the heat and dust on this Sunday-Monday morning.
Generally rains give mixed feelings to Noida residents with traffic jams and water-logging on the main roads. The pre-monsoon showers are a good test of monsoon preparedness of the administration. Thankfully, there was no water-logging nor traffic jams this time. One could drive hassle-free on Noida roads even in the usual problem areas of Rajnigandha Intersection, Sector 18 Market, Jal Vayu Vihar and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
Noida-Greater Noida Authorities have been in an overdrive to clean the city in an ongoing 15-day 'Clean Noida' drive. No wonder roads and everywhere seemed clean on early Sunday morning when people were out for International Yoga Day celebrations. Reportedly CEO and ACEO of Noida and Greater Noida Authority had been personally inspecting the various localities in the city. The cleanliness drive has covered around two dozen residential sectors, adjoining villages and basti, institutional and industrial sectors in Noida. Good work so far done by the administration in waste disposal, de-silting of drains and a continued follow up would ensure smooth drive on the roads of Noida.
